The Gospels

The Book of Acts

The Doctrine of God
Focusing on the Oneness theology perspective, this course examines the biblical truth of the Mighty God in Christ, revealing Jesus of the New Testament as Jehovah of the Old Testament. Students will explore scriptural evidence supporting the deity of Christ. The course challenges common theological misconceptions by grounding students in a biblical understanding of God’s nature. Emphasis is placed on how this understanding impacts worship, prayer, and Christian living.


Multicultural Church
Designed to prepare students for ministry in a diverse world, this course addresses the biblical mandate to reach every nation and culture with the Gospel. Special emphasis is placed on intentional strategies to embrace and reflect multiculturalism in Apostolic ministry. Students will learn practical ways to break down cultural barriers and foster unity within the body of Christ. The course also explores the challenges and blessings of ministering in a multicultural context.


Man’s Religions
This course provides a comparative overview of the world’s major religions, examining their origins, beliefs, and practices. Students will gain an understanding of how these systems contrast with biblical truth and learn to engage people of different faiths with respect and clarity. The course encourages thoughtful dialogue and respectful witness to those of other faith backgrounds. Students will also develop apologetic skills to defend their faith effectively.


Biblical Interpretation
A study of the principles and methods of interpreting Scripture, with an emphasis on the Grammatical-Historical Method. Students will analyze various approaches to exegesis and apply practical tools for accurately understanding and teaching the Word of God. The course emphasizes the importance of context, language, and author intent in interpretation. Students will practice interpretation techniques through hands-on analysis of selected biblical passages.


The Pentateuch
An exploration of the first five books of the Bible, focusing on their historical context, theological themes, and enduring significance. Students will discover how the Law, covenant, and foundational narratives shape the rest of Scripture. The course also highlights the relevance of these books to contemporary Christian faith and practice. Emphasis is placed on the covenant relationship between God and His people as established in the Pentateuch.


The Christian Life
This course emphasizes the essential disciplines of Christian living, including prayer, fasting, holiness, and obedience to God’s Word. Students will learn how to apply biblical principles to daily life for spiritual growth and maturity. The course encourages the development of a vibrant, personal relationship with God. Practical guidance is provided for overcoming common spiritual challenges and growing in faith.


The New Birth
A comprehensive study of the New Testament doctrine of the new birth, exploring repentance, baptism in Jesus’ name, and the infilling of the Holy Ghost. Students will examine the scriptural necessity and experience of spiritual rebirth. The course also covers the ongoing transformation that follows the new birth. Emphasis is placed on living out the reality of new life through holiness and empowered witness.


Christian Counseling
An introduction to the principles and practice of counseling in a ministry context. Students will learn essential skills for guiding individuals biblically and compassionately, with practical guidelines for effective pastoral care. The course covers common counseling situations and how to address spiritual and emotional needs. Students will also develop listening and communication skills critical to successful counseling.


Preaching I
This foundational course in homiletics covers the preparation and delivery of biblical sermons. Students will study the elements of sermon structure, effective communication, and the role of the preacher in delivering God’s Word. The course emphasizes both the spiritual and practical aspects of preaching. Students will have opportunities to develop and practice their preaching skills in a supportive environment.


Church Planting
A practical study of the vision, character, and preparation required to establish a new church. Topics include leadership qualities, securing support and mentorship, and strategic steps for successful church launches. The course also addresses common challenges faced by church planters and ways to overcome them. Students will be equipped to develop a sustainable, Spirit-led ministry from the ground up.

Church Growth
This course examines biblical and practical principles for increasing a church’s spiritual health and numerical growth. Students will explore strategies for outreach, leadership development, and congregational engagement. Emphasis is placed on cultivating a healthy church culture that fosters discipleship. The course includes case studies and practical applications for sustaining long-term growth.


Christian Pastorate
An overview of the multifaceted role of the pastor as minister, manager, and leader. Students will explore the responsibilities, challenges, and spiritual calling of pastoral ministry. The course prepares students for the daily tasks involved in shepherding a congregation. Leadership development and personal spiritual growth are key themes throughout the course.


History of the Church – UPCI/NLT
A historical survey of the Apostolic movement with a focus on the life of Howard Goss and the development of the UPCI. Students will also learn the history of New Life Tabernacle and the ministry strategies that contributed to its growth. The course highlights key events and figures that shaped the church’s identity. Lessons learned from history will be applied to current ministry challenges.


Church Administration
An in-depth study of the organizational and legal aspects of running a church. Students will learn about structuring church offices, managing finances, and ensuring compliance with legal requirements. The course emphasizes the importance of effective administration in supporting ministry goals. Practical tools and systems for managing church operations are provided.


Your Role in the Church
A practical guide for those serving in volunteer or ministerial capacities. This course equips students to lead others to salvation through repentance, baptism, and discipleship while effectively supporting church ministry. Students will learn foundational ministry skills and the importance of teamwork. The course fosters a servant’s heart and commitment to church growth.


Outreach & Personal Evangelism
This course trains students in personal soul winning, using tools such as home Bible studies, prayer, and one-on-one witnessing. Emphasis is placed on developing a consistent lifestyle of evangelism. Students will learn how to build relationships that open doors for sharing the Gospel. Practical assignments will help students apply evangelism techniques in their communities.


Good Communication
A study of communication skills for ministry and personal growth. Students will learn to evaluate and improve their verbal, written, and media-based communication, with an emphasis on clarity, effectiveness, and influence.
